Data Consultation

We have consulted with over 200 members to provide data solutions that support their research.

Our Data Solutions Team is available to work with members to define data requests and to determine the optimal solution for providing de-identified data to support their research.

We’ll meet with you to understand your request and to make sure that we provide access to the data you need. We’ll even walk you through and demo Data Direct and De-identified RDW, our self-service tools that provide access to the health data of the Michigan Medicine and MGI cohorts.

Genetic Data Collection

We have collected samples from over 500,000 diverse Michigan Genomics Initiative (MGI) participants.

Our MGI data collection team is an integral part of the Michigan Genomics Initiative (MGI). The team is focused on expanding and diversifying our MGI database.

They meet with potential subjects to explain the initiative and request consent to donate biospecimens to the initiative. Once consented, these subjects are added to the MGI database.

Genetic Data Analysis

Did you know? We release new updates to the MGI database every 6 months!

Our MGI Data Analysts are an important part of the Michigan Genomics Initiative (MGI). As experts at cleaning, curating, and analyzing genetics data, they are responsible for preparing new genetic data before it is added to the MGI database.
